Belmore Sports Ground has been part of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs’ history since 1936. The club’s new Centre of Excellence is now being built on Terry Lamb Hill and will provide training, medical, recovery, education and administration facilities for its professional and development teams. The project also includes facilities for community use.
The roof structure comprises 113 m³ of glulam (GLT) supplied by the HASSLACHER group. The timber package includes 14 main roof beams, each measuring 26 m in length, as well as internal columns and bracing members.
The main beams are produced and delivered as full length components without intermediate joints. Steel parts and fasteners are preassembled at the plant, preparing the timber components for installation on site. Their dimensions determine both the production process and the logistics concept. Commissioned by Savcon, HESS TIMBER supported the design phase and coordinated the technical requirements for production, prefabrication and delivery.
