The Sky Pavilion of the media company Sky is harmoniously embedded in the park-like surroundings of the Osterley Campus. Although the new building is connected to the adjacent Sky Innovation Center, the restaurant is used for the entire campus.
GLULAM AT THE CENTER
The Sky Pavilion is designed to stand out clearly from its surroundings and offers a unique restaurant experience with a direct connection to the outside area. A special architectural feature are the central, curved glulam beams that support a circumferential ring beam, which in turn supports the roof and the façade. The cross-laminated timber elements resting on this form the roof and enable the large overhangs at the front of the building.
