42 METER GLULAM
The roof structure of the integrated indoor swimming pool was designed as a timber construction with glulam components up to 42 m long. The transportation of the extraordinarily long glulam components presented a logistical challenge. The original concept of only assembling the components on site with the patented solution HESS LIMITLESS had to be abandoned due to the global corona pandemic, as it would not have been possible for our fitters to travel to Australia. With a maximum length of almost 42 m, these are currently the longest glulam components ever used in Australia.

More InformationBREAK BULK CARGO
The rather unusual transportation of the extra-long components required not only just-in-time delivery to the port in Zeebrugge, Belgium, but also the smooth coordination of two production sites of the HASSLACHER Group in Austria and Germany. In the port of Zeebrugge, the glulam components were reloaded onto multi-purpose boogies (MPBs) after delivery by truck and then stowed in the ship as break-bulk cargo.
