HESS TIMBER Projects - Winner of the "Australian Timber Design Awards" for the Second Year in a Row

"Bunjil Place" won the top prize at the 19th "Australian Timber Design Awards" in the categories "Excellence in Timber Design – Public or Commercial" and "Excellence in the Use of Timber Products – Timber Veneers". The project is a huge cultural, community and civic facility in the greater Melbourne area. HESS TIMBER supplied the glulam gridshell consisting of preassembled soffit roof cassettes incl. steelwork and connectors. The assembly was supervised by an assembly specialist of HESS TIMBER. For the determination of the load-bearing capacity of this absolute special solution, extensive previous research and development work was necessary. Already in 2017, the project "International House Sydney" won several categories at the "Australian Timber Design Awards".
