On the weekend of 13 and 14 May, the first components of the canopy were installed above the platforms of the Ede-Wageningen station.

The construction consists of 23 triangles, each with a side length of 27 metres. The huge components were pre-assembled on the ground and then lifted into their final position with a crawler crane. This procedure allowed rail traffic to continue unhindered for the most part.

The remaining components of the roofing will be installed during a second assembly weekend in July.

The museum of the Fondation Louis Vuitton was opened in October 2014. The famous architect Frank Gehry designed the building, that essentially consists of 12 “canvas” made of glass, steal and timber. HESS TIMBER delivered the timber construction for this unique building.
