Details

This artwork is made up of 10 simply curved identical beams. The beams have a maximum length of 11 meters with a maximum height of 8 meters. The cross-sections consist of rod lamellas of the accetylated and thus extremely durable and weather-resistant species Pinus Radiata (Accoya).

The architectural inspiration for the structurally free-formed foyer was the spiritual traditions of two Aboriginal tribes. This prestige project of a distinctive glulam construction has already won several national and international awards.

Museum Fondation Louis Vuitton

Timber architecture in highest perfection

The museum of the Fondation Louis Vuitton was opened in October 2014. The famous architect Frank Gehry designed the building, that essentially consists of 12 “canvas” made of glass, steal and timber. HESS TIMBER delivered the timber construction for this unique building.

International House Sydney
