An architectural gem designed by Frank Gehry was opened in Paris in 2013. The museum was created on the initiative of Bernard Arnault, the CEO of the French company Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVHM). The museum mainly exhibits works from the 20th century. In total, the museum has eleven galleries covering 11,000 square meters, an auditorium with 400 seats and several terraces and is architecturally modeled on a ship. The building is covered by 12 individual roofs consisting of 222 single and double-curved glulam trusses. The total volume is around 800 m³.
